Caves and Things

I caved today.
I went to bed in the wee hours of the morning, woke up late, and did not pack a lunch.

I ate elementary cafeteria food for the first time since beginning my student teaching. Probably on the worst day possible.

Note to self:

Do NOT eat formed, amoeba-shaped hamburgers.
Cafeteria fries are NOT as good as they look and smell.

But speaking of burgers, I'm pretty sure this will be my Halloween costume next year.

I like how the costume cheese is right on the hip. Totally apropos seeing as that is where the cheese FAT always forms.

I remember how happy I was to have burger day at school. As bad as they might be (and I'll grant you they might be pretty awful) they were still better than some of the other mystery dishes we got.

My elementary school made awesome enchiladas though. AND huge yeast rolls that were as big as a kid's face. Yummmmmmmmm.

Ahhhh yes- enchiladas and rolls, sooo good! I always liked the salsbury steak and chicken nuggets as well.
