Robert Dale Anderson

Dutch Treat- 1999

I had the pleasure of taking drawing from Bob while studying in Italy.
He is an amazing character and one of the first UT professors that I connected with and felt comfortable talking with after spending time with him in Italy. (We both shared a bit of social awkwardness and dislike of public speaking)

Bob was an amazing artist and doodler and often gave his mini doodles away.
Bob was tall and walked painfully fast.
Bob loved to swim and drink wine. If he had his way he probably would have spent the entire time in Italy in the pool.
Bob listened to the most INSANE music on mixed tapes. (literally known for changing the way young artists made art and causing several nervous breakdowns while in his class)
Bob had a very full life and great stories to share. I feel really lucky to have had him.

Thursday June 4th at 6:00pm, at Okay Mountain in east Austin, there will be a  gathering and exhibition in memory and celebration of Bob Anderson who as most of you know past away this Sunday May 31st.   Okay Mountain is located at  1312 E Cesar Chavez St. Ste. B Austin, Texas 78702.

Condolences... What an amazing legacy to have art living on as legacy though. And your memories.
